“Flowers of the Future : Agua Boa” presents a Brazilian government’s experience
that recovers environmental liabilities, restores participatory democracy
and acts ahead of climate changes.
The program’s methods and ethical stance have an universal nature
and can be adapted anywhere on the planet
to facilate the transition into a new paradigm.
The program “Cultivando Agua Boa”, elaborated and managed by the Itaipu dam Brazilian Direction team,
has to be considered within a larger framework, away from any impact or damages
caused by these specific hydrological infrastructures.
This is a successful and innovative social and ecological experience by itself
at a very large scale.
This is not a “compensation” program
and doesn’t justify the building of this dam or of any other ones.

Itaipu Binacional (Brazil-Paraguay) is capable of bringing about a veritable ecological revolution
putting into practice ecology’s 4 major branches :
. the environmental, through environmental conservation programs,
. the social, by integrating 29 nearby cities with 1 million people and involving them
in river recovery, green farming and waste recycling actions,
. the mental, by introducing a new vision of Mother Earth and training over 10.000 educators,
. finally, the deep or integral ecology, which creates an integrated view of the Earth and Cosmos
within a picture portraying a spiritual outlook on reality.
This is exemplary work capable of giving rise to other similar initiatives,
which gives us hope that another world is not only possible but feasible and necessary.”
